NBA regular season

NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION (NBA)

LIVE coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA) continues all month on ESPN, and with the regular season drawing to a close on April 16, these last weeks before the NBA Playoffs promise to be electric. By late December, LeBron James and the defending champion Miami Heat had only one Eastern rival worth talking about, but what a rival. The Indiana Pacers - led by top-scorer Paul George, who has been impressive this season - launched the season on fire and show no signs of cooling off.

The West, meanwhile, has never been deeper. A glance at the Power Rankings from early January says it all: only two Eastern teams - the Heat and Pacers - made the top ten, joined by the searing Portland Trail Blazers and a list of usual suspects led by the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and the very scrappy Golden State Warriors.

Don't miss a basket with ESPN's LIVE NBA Wednesday and NBA Friday season coverage. Top games this month include a doubleheader on the 19th with hot Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks hosting the Pacers, followed by the Spurs going up against the Los Angeles Lakers. Also this month are the Chicago Bulls hosting the tough Memphis Grizzlies, the Heat in action against the Denver Nuggets and Grizzlies, and to close the month a matchup of the East's best as the Pacers host the Heat.
