The National Basketball Association (NBA) moves one step closer to crowning a new champion with continuing LIVE coverage on ESPN in May of the NBA Playoffs.
In the East, the story all season has been about the best - LeBron James and the Miami Heat and the slick Indiana Pacers, the first two teams to secure Playoff berths - and all the rest. Of the rest, Carmelo Anthony has been brilliant on a less-than-stellar New York Knicks team, while the Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls (sans Derrick Rose) and Brooklyn Nets have worked hard to keep the leaders in sight.
The West continues to be so deep as to make any type of playoff predictions a throw of the dice. What's clear is that Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder are the team to beat, with serious challengers including the veteran San Antonio Spurs, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers, the duo of Dwight Howard and James Harden of the Houston Rockets and the sharp Golden State Warriors.
